A NOTE FROM THE OWNER

Hello, I’m Grant, the owner of ESS of FL, Inc. I started ESS in 2021 as a successor company to Elite Structural Services, Inc., which was founded and incorporated in 2010 by my father and mentor, Gary. I spent many years after college learning the trade and managing the business entirely before executing a buyout. Under my father’s leadership, I focused on developing solid relationships with vendors, clients, trade partners, and our employees in order to ensure a smooth transition as the company changed ownership. I am proud to report that it’s been a successful transition where all key employees remained, suppliers and clients haven’t changed, and we are in a better business position than ever before. Grant Williams

Owner

13 years with the company

Grant’s journey in the construction industry began alongside his father at Elite Structural Services. Over the years, he honed his skills, refined processes, and contributed significantly to the business’s growth. With dedication and hard work, Grant eventually took the helm, establishing ESS as a new company with the same proven reputation, clients, vendors, and relationships. He holds a business degree from Florida State University and is a licensed general contractor, specializing in strategic planning and business growth optimization.

Ray Butler

Director of Construction
29 years with the company

Ray was recruited to our company by Grant’s father, Gary, nearly 30 years ago after an eventful career in the United States Navy and gaining valuable experience in the construction industry. As a licensed General Contractor, Ray brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in structural concrete and masonry. He oversees all construction activities at ESS, including planning, scheduling, training, managing, and leading our dedicated team.

Mary Risner

Office Manager
23 years with the company

Mary has been pivotal in the establishment and growth of our business, bringing extensive knowledge in the construction, automotive, and home services industries. Her boundless energy, passion, and unwavering loyalty to the company are truly inspiring! Mary ensures our office operates seamlessly, efficiently handling a wide range of responsibilities. She manages payroll, accounts payable and receivable, our fleet of vehicles and equipment, and so much more.

Juliana Denson

Director of Finance
2 years with the company

Before joining ESS, Juliana served as the Controller for another construction company and as an Administrator for a non-profit organization. In her current role, she specializes in job costing, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, she oversees human resources and benefits administration, technology, and marketing activities. Juliana aims to integrate the company’s established methods and processes with innovative ideas and operational strategies to drive the business forward.

Peter Conrad

Director of Sales
Joined ESS in 2024

Peter joined the ESS Team in late 2024, bringing with him a solid background in the construction industry and a bright future with our growing company. You may have even seen his smiling face drop by your office with donuts already! He spends his time meeting builders and prospective clients, generating new business, preparing and submitting bids and proposals for new projects, and partnering with the owner to negotiate and solidify contracts. Additionally, Peter conducts site visits and tracks project progress to ensure everything runs according to plan on the projects that he has estimated.

Joe Smith

Construction Manager
20 years with the company

Joe began his career with ESS as a Foreman under the guidance of Grant’s father and expert in the construction industry, Gary. Today, Joe plays an important role on our team by coaching and training new crews, supervising activities in one of our larger communities, and managing material inventory. As the Company Safety Officer, Joe ensures the proper use of our proprietary safety system and oversees compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.

Simon Vega

Senior Foreman
28 years with the company

Simon has been a cornerstone of our Company, playing a crucial role in its history and leadership. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he effectively bridges communication across diverse teams. He collaborates with Ray to train new crew leads and next-level leadership, ensuring a seamless transition and continuous growth. Additionally, Simon manages construction activities within his assigned communities and works diligently to refine building processes, best practices, and eliminate bottlenecks to enhance overall company performance.

Alberto Delgado

Senior Foreman
30 years with the company

Alberto has been an integral part of our team for the past 30 years, starting his journey with Grant’s dad, Gary. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Alberto leads a well-established and high-performing team that excels on every project they are assigned to. He is dedicated to coaching new team members and teaching essential trade skills and has developing leaders growing under his leadership. By partnering with superintendents, construction managers, other trades, and inspectors, he ensures that all projects are completed on time, accurately, and safely.
